eutil.dll is an executable component of the Microsoft Windows operating system, which is needed for the correct launch and correct operation of games and programs. If the file is missing, an error may occur when you try to launch a particular software.
What is this file
Any operating system, including Microsoft OS, consists of separate dynamic libraries. The latter, in turn, are divided into separate files. Only one hundred percent integrity of the OS can ensure the correct operation of application software. If you encounter an error where the system did not find eutil.dll, you will have to install the missing file manually.
This component is needed to run various games. In our case, the crash occurred when trying to launch Resident Evil Village, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Total War: Warhammer II, Mortal Kombat 11 and Doom Eternal.
How to Install
So how do you fix the error? Let's figure it out:
- First, we turn to the download section, after which we download the archive with the component we need. Depending on the bitness of the operating system, we move the received files to the first or second folder. You can check the Windows architecture using the hotkey combination “Win” + “Pause”.
For Windows 32 Bit: C:\Windows\System32
For Windows 64 Bit: C:\Windows\SysWOW64
- Now let's move on to registration. To do this, you will need to run a command prompt with administrator privileges. Using the operator
cd
, go to the directory where you placed the DLL. Throughregsvr32 eutil.dll
We do the registration itself.
For all changes made to be applied correctly, you must restart Windows.
