If, when trying to launch a particular software, you encounter an error where the system did not detect libstdc++-6.dll, then the missing file must be downloaded, installed and registered manually.
How to Install
Accordingly, in the form of simple step-by-step instructions, we will consider both stages of installation in more detail:
- Refer to the download section and download the archive with the DLL we need. Unpack the data, and then, depending on the OS architecture, copy all the files to one or a second directory. We confirm access to administrator rights by clicking on the designated button.
For Windows 32 Bit: C:\Windows\System32
For Windows 64 Bit: C:\Windows\SysWOW64
- Now we need registration, which is done using the command:
regsvr32 libstdc++-6.dll
.
Before using this operator, do not forget to use the command
cd
go to the folder where you copied the DLL. Since in our case we use Windows x64 Bit, we enter:cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64
.
Download
The file is distributed free of charge, downloaded from the developer’s website and available via a direct link.
