Qt5Gui.dll is a system component that is part of Windows 7, 10 or 11. If you encounter an error when launching a game where the system did not find the file, most likely it is out of date and you need to manually reinstall it.
What is this file?
As you know, any operating system, including Microsoft Windows, consists of certain libraries, a kernel, and so on. Libraries, in turn, are divided into separate components, including DLLs. All of this software together should work correctly. Otherwise, there is a problem when launching certain games.
How to Install
Having briefly touched on the theory, let's move on and look at the process of solving problems, namely copying a file and then registering it:
- First of all, we turn to the download section, where we download the component we need using a direct link. After unpacking the archive, place the file in one of the system directories.
For Windows 32 Bit: C:\Windows\System32
For Windows 64 Bit: C:\Windows\SysWOW64
- The next step is to confirm access to permissions by the administrator and, if prompted, replace existing data.
- The registration itself begins by launching the command line. Further using the operator
cd
we go to the directory where we just copied the DLL. Finally, enter:regsvr32 Qt5Gui.dll
and press "Enter".
Be sure to run the command prompt with administrator privileges. Otherwise, registration will fail.
Download
All that remains is to download the executable file and install it correctly.
